Categories & Age Groups
This is predominantly a fun run; therefore we will not be offering full age range categories.

There will be trophies for 1st 2nd & 3rd for overall best man and woman.

We are NOT a chip-timed event. If you want to know your exact time you’ll need a good old-fashioned wristwatch.

Winners of each category will receive a trophy
We do not offer prize money.
Why? It’s not what we’re about.

What should I expect?
A big challenge, lots of laughs, friendship and a massive sense of achievement.

We’d describe our events as part trail run, part mud run and full-on obstacle course. The majority of our course takes place on hard packed trails so there’s ample opportunity for quality running. Runners of all abilities can take part although a good level will definitely make the task a lot easier.

Mud and getting dirty is unavoidable at our events. You may want to save your best running shoes for another day. Many of our obstacles have nice muddy pits waiting for any runners that fall off. Participants have the option to skip obstacles that they don’t feel comfortable with. There are penalties on some obstacles but you won’t get shouted at if you choose not to do an obstacle. We’re predominantly a fun run.

All elite runners competing for 1st place MUST attempt every obstacle and complete penalties.

All of our larger obstacles are constructed from the best materials and thoroughly checked for safety. We conduct a safety walk through of every inch of the course looking for trip hazards and any other potential dangers. We won’t ask you to do anything that we’re not prepared to do.

Despite this, trail runs have inherent risks and we recommend that all entrants have comprehensive accident insurance. Safety and medical personnel will be onsite throughout the course.

What to wear
You’ll be getting wet so try to avoid heavy cotton shirts. Any lycra based outfit would be advisable. We strongly recommend that you wear some gloves. There will be scrambles and plenty of rope elements. We’re not going to enforce this, but please take it as a strong recommendation. Men can go shirtless if they choose. Fancy dress is welcomed as long as it is not offensive.
